Warrior Movie

In the last few years we’ve seen a great comeback from fighter movies with films like Sylvester Stallone’s “Rocky Balboa” in 2006 and more recently “The Fighter” starring Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale. Both were great movies, Rocky, always a classic, and The Fighter was an extraordinary story that was wrapped around boxing.

There have also been many other original fighter tales throughout the years such as the Raging Bull, and now this fall we have a new film that is fittingly titled, “Warrior,” starring Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton.

This story follows two brothers that started out as fighters and took completely different paths from one another. One brother chose to become a schoolteacher and a family man while the other became a war hero who spent some time in battle.

They’re reunited when they both decide to enter into the same Mixed Martial Arts competition and end up facing each other in the ring. With my workout articles and videos I’ve developed some different movie inspired workouts such as the Captain America Workout based on the Captain America movie.

That one includes some really good exercises that not only increase strength but are very good for flexibility as well. I’ve also created a few Thor Workouts inspired by the Thor movie. These include using an interesting twist to the dumbbell in order to develop muscular strength, endurance, and coordination. I’m excited at the prospect of a Warrior movie workout.

It’s really invigorating to think about. The idea that two brothers are going to be fighting for the title is very compelling, but there is one other thing that’s more fitness related that intrigues me about this movie, and that is that it’s a Mixed Martial Arts competition and not a boxing tournament. Don’t get me wrong, I love Boxing but Mixed Martial Arts is Boxing and more, literally.

Check out the Warrior Movie Workout in the video below, and read about the workout here.

Mixed Martial Arts consists of Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Boxing and many other styles of combat. The upcoming warrior movie looks completely amazing. I can’t say for sure but based on the trailer and articles I have read, it looks like it will turn out to be an amazing fighting movie. It’s always motivating to me to watch these movies and the tough characters in them. Whenever I’m feeling low I can watch Rocky, or even something more fantastical like Batman Begins to get pumped up for my workouts.
