Taco Bell Nutrition

At Taco Bell you can get a great meal for weight gain or weight loss. The only problem is that just like with the other places, it is easier to find a weight gaining meal. For example, one cheese quesadilla contains 480 calories, 27 grams of fat, 40 grams of carbohydrates, 4 grams of fiber, and only 19 grams of protein. Sure, 19 grams of protein is a good amount but not when it costs you 27 grams of fat. And the worst part is that it contains .5 grams of trans fat. A cheese quesadilla from Taco Bell should be eaten sparingly. On the flip side, a chicken enchrito contains 22 grams of protein with only 14 grams of fat. It also boasts 32 grams of carbohydrates with 6 grams of fiber.

Taco Bell also has a special drive thru diet menu which has many great foods such as a fresco chicken soft taco that has 150 calories, 3.5 grams of fat, 18 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of fiber, and 12 grams of protein. For gaining, I recommend that you get one of those soft tacos, and a beefy five layer burrito from the value menu. And then add on some mexican rice. This would come to a total of 820 calories, 29 grams of fat, 106 grams of carbohydrates, 11 grams of fiber, and 33 grams of protein. This is a good meal. It’s not great, but it is good. The amount of fiber is great, unfortunately the fat content is a little high. Hopefully you will make up for that with your other meals of the day. Stick with one enchrito if you’re trying to lose.
