Arnold Schwarzenegger

If Jack Lalanne was the father of modern fitness, then Arnold Schwarzenegger is the father of modern bodybuilding, and action movie stars. He also greatly contributed to today’s fitness focus. It was Arnold Schwarzenegger’s tremendous determination that made him so popular and successful in bodybuilding and in movies. I’ve read a biography about him before, and I learned quite a bit. Once he saw a picture of Reg Park, he knew what he wanted. He knew what success meant to him. He worked harder, and smarter than many of his peers. And that’s what gave him great success.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is a fitness inspiration to many. Not just bodybuilders. Many athletes of other sports look to him as an example of hard work and dedication. When I first got into working out, I saw him as a big inspiration too. Eventually I bought his book, the Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding. I’ve never wanted to be a bodybuilder, but I have wanted to develop a great physique like Arnold’s. He was still a little bigger than I’d like to be, but he had good proportion, and definition. He is a great example of the American dream. He came here as a fish out of water, and accomplished much. www.schwarzenegger.com
